1. Fletcherobrachys stillata (Bergroth, 1907) taxonomy

Fletcherobrachys stillata (Bergroth, 1907) is currently considered as a valid taxon of species rank in the family Eurybrachidae Stål, 1862 of the Fulgoromorpha. This species was first described by Bergroth E. in 1907 in the following paper: Zwei neue Fulgoriden. Wiener Entomologische Zeitung. Wien, 26: 289-291.

It is currently classified in order Hemiptera Linné, 1758, suborder Fulgoromorpha Evans, 1946, superfamily Fulgoroidea Latreille, 1807, family Eurybrachidae Stål, 1862, subfamily Platybrachinae Schmidt, 1908, tribe Platybrachini Schmidt, 1908, genus Fletcherobrachys Constant, 2006.

Fletcherobrachys stillata is an extant taxon.

2. Fletcherobrachys stillata (Bergroth, 1907) geographical distribution and bioregions

According to the geographical TDWG standard (2001), Fletcherobrachys stillata (Bergroth, 1907) are known from the Australasia biogeographical region as defined by Wallace (1876). More precisely, they are distributed in the Australian zoogeographic region as defined by Holt (2013). Figures 1 and 2 display dynamic graphs showcasing the longitudinal and latitudinal profiles of Fletcherobrachys stillata (Bergroth, 1907) arround the across the globe according to their species richness. A scroll on the histogram bars displays the species richness of the corresponding regions.

3. Fletcherobrachys stillata (Bergroth, 1907) biological interactions

As all planthoppers, Fletcherobrachys stillata (Bergroth, 1907) are obligatory phytophagous terrestrial insects; they mainly feed on host plants belonging to the order: Proteales (Proteaceae).
Figure 3a depicts the orders of plants on which Fletcherobrachys stillata (Bergroth, 1907) feeds, and figure 3b the percentage they represent in the diet for the entire species. Figures 4a and 4b do the same more precisely for the family level of these plants.
