Connelicita lungchowensis (Chou & Lu, 1977) is currently considered as a valid taxon of species rank in the family Tropiduchidae Stål, 1866 of the Fulgoromorpha. This species was first described by Chou Io and Lu Jin-Sheng in 1977 in the following paper: On the Chinese Ricaniidae with descriptions of eight new species. Acta Entomologica Sinica, 20(3) : 314-322.

It is currently classified in order Hemiptera Linné, 1758, suborder Fulgoromorpha Evans, 1946, superfamily Fulgoroidea Latreille, 1807, family Tropiduchidae Stål, 1866, subfamily Elicinae Melichar, 1915, tribe Elicini Melichar, 1915, genus Connelicita Wang & Bourgoin, 2015.

Connelicita lungchowensis is an extant taxon.

2. Connelicita lungchowensis (Chou & Lu, 1977) geographical distribution and bioregions

According to the geographical TDWG standard (2001), Connelicita lungchowensis (Chou & Lu, 1977) are known from the Oriental biogeographical region as defined by Wallace (1876). More precisely, they are distributed in the Oriental zoogeographic region as defined by Holt (2013). Figures 1 and 2 display dynamic graphs showcasing the longitudinal and latitudinal profiles of Connelicita lungchowensis (Chou & Lu, 1977) arround the across the globe according to their species richness. A scroll on the histogram bars displays the species richness of the corresponding regions.

3. Connelicita lungchowensis (Chou & Lu, 1977) biological interactions

As all planthoppers, Connelicita lungchowensis (Chou & Lu, 1977) are obligatory phytophagous terrestrial insects.
