1. Movesella Emeljanov, 1982 taxonomy

Movesella Emeljanov, 1982 is currently considered as a valid taxon of genus rank in the family Delphacidae Leach, 1815 of the Fulgoromorpha. This genus was first described by Emeljanov A. F. in 1982 in the following paper: Fulgoroidea (Homoptera) collected in the Mongolian People's Republic by the entomofaunistical group of the Soviet Mongolian complex biological expedition in 1970-1975.. Insects Mongolia, 8: 69-122.

It is currently classified in order Hemiptera Linné, 1758, suborder Fulgoromorpha Evans, 1946, superfamily Delphacoidea Leach, 1815, family Delphacidae Leach, 1815, subfamily Delphacinae Leach, 1815, tribe Delphacini Leach, 1815.

Movesella is monospecific. The type species of the genus is Movesella nuchtica (Dlabola, 1967).

Movesella is an extant taxon.
