Kuvera elongata Zhi & Chen, 2023 is currently considered as a valid taxon of species rank in the family Cixiidae Spinola, 1839 of the Fulgoromorpha. This species was first described by Chen Xiang-Sheng and Zhi Yan in 2023 in the following paper: Taxonomic study of the genus Kuvera Distant, 1906 (Hemiptera, Fulgoromorpha, Cixiidae) with descriptions of two new species from China. ZooKeys, 1141: 41-63.
It is currently classified in order Hemiptera Linné, 1758, suborder Fulgoromorpha Evans, 1946, superfamily Delphacoidea Leach, 1815, family Cixiidae Spinola, 1839, subfamily Cixiinae Spinola, 1839, tribe Semonini Emeljanov, 2002, genus Kuvera Distant, 1906.
